I finally decided on my resolution. I know - you've all been sitting around your computers for the last two days just waiting for this moment. Well, your prayers have finally been answered.
It's such a simple thing that will solve so many problems all at once. And though not fun like last year's, I think it's worth a shot.
First, the runners up. I still plan to attempt these, for the record:
- Learn to ice skate. I can currently get around the rink without falling down, but that's all I can do. Kind of like a blind man could probably drive a car a couple of miles down a Kansas highway without getting into trouble, but it's not something you would want to see or experience.
- Learn to rock climb. This one I'm super excited about, and only didn't make it my main resolution because it seems like a pricy hobby.
- Cancel as many email subscriptions as possible to clean up my inbox and tempt me to spend less on things I don't need (e.g. krav maga for kids).
- No chick fil a milkshakes until my birthday. (GAH! That's gonna be a toughy.)
No more eating in my car.*
*Note, I did not say your car. I still plan to eat there. And liquids don't count. Nor do road trips of 100 miles or longer, as at that point I'm using food as a means of not falling asleep at the wheel and killing us all.
If all goes according to plan, this should fix many of the issues that are currently keeping me from losing the last 25 lbs. As well as cut back on the number of times I think to myself, "What's that smell!? That can't be good."
Wish me luck.
Note: this picture has nothing to do with this post, I just love it. Midway through my NYE party gorge I decided to pump some iron before going back for round 2. Barry caught me in my evening gown, shoeless. Classy, yes?
Edited to add - I did not set up that barbell. I just walked by and found it and thought, I think I'll pick this up. As my brother pointed out, we all know the big plate should be the first, not last, on. I mean, duh.

So, was your New Year's Eve party at the gym or have you remodeled?
